Was it our fifth annual pool party? Sixth? I’m sure one of the other Night Writers knows, but the years have flown by! One of the things we think is a little unique about our group is that, in addition to meeting weekly (many groups meet only once or twice permonth) and in addition to having been together a long time (nearly 30 years for some of our original members!) we are friends who enjoy each other’s company. We have an annual Christmas party in December, and a pool party every summer. Every summer, various of our former members join us.
Today was the day!
It was great to meet some spouses and friends we haven’t met before–Lars and Jim–and meet others again–Tom, Mark, Doug, and Robyn. Ross’s granddaughter and grandson came, along with two of Laura’s kids.
Linda, a former Night Writer who writes by the pen name Ellis Hoff, came with her husband, and it was great to catch up with them, too. We missed those who weren’t able to make it.
A fun time was had by all and no wind storms or thunder clouds this year!
